    I had a hearing dog that I taught hand commands to when I got him at 9 weeks. I wanted to communicate with him if I was having a verbal conversation with someone. Never thought that as he turned very senior, he would lose his eyesight. He did make it to 17 y.o. so I'm not complaining but losing his sight wasn't something I even remotely pondered. We had a wonderful life together. I'll see him again, some day.
