I admire this lady for pushing through to achieve the perfect life for herself. I know how hard that life must be but I know also how rewarding it must be. It's certainly not for the weak. I'm happy she will marry and have a companion...that will make it a lot safer for her. I am almost envious.

Talk about a leap! What an incredible story. Gotta be able to endure and enjoy the cold.

Timeless wonder in a brutal weather life. She is brave to take on the strong life. As a retired teacher, widow, and living with my dog in a warmer climate; I don't think I could do her ideal life. I enjoy being around people and exchanging views in a pleasant manner.

Although much older than you (almost 80), I found long ago that I was most comfortable in the woods, plains, jungles, etc. - which my work as a wetlands and wildlife biologist and consultant, No one around much of the time.
Still, I enjoy the very rare visitor - for an hour or two! I relate best to my two dogs and four cats. Pretty good company for an old codger. Been around the world several times, lived in 5 of the 7 continents. Would like to visit Australia, but no desire for Antarctica!

As a young and healthy person, it's a great way of life. As age creeps in, it becomes more difficult to do things without some kind of help.
