Cats do not need a bathing, unless they are covered in an abnormal substance, say, oil, or some other irritant, like fleas. Exception would be a hairless breed. And please, do not make your animal smell like perfume!!! Animals want to smell their own and each other's normal odors! I am talking to you too, dog owners especially! All this is for the owner's enjoyment, it is stressful for the animal. And don't shave your dog for the summer! The fur protects the skin from sunburn!
