she was just a bag of bones where her stomach should be there was nothing to good Samaritans found Rhys laying on the sidewalk animal control and reach out for us they said incoming dog leaving seated pitbull can you help when the animal control officer sent the phone I just I just started crying we weren't expecting 17 pounds half dead you never expect that she was able to kind of lift her head she could stand with help I was sitting on the floor and she was lying next to me and she started to kind of struggle she wanted to get up and come sit in my life it meant a lot to me that she was willing to trust the next few days it seemed almost like she was declining because now all the sudden she couldn't even lift her head anymore doctors playing that and she was on adrenaline just surviving now she knows she's in a safe place and her body does need to heal even when she was laying on the exam table and she was too tired to like lift her head like she would just look up at us and lick our faces and I'm like how do you know to be so sweet when we start seeing little changes that was huge she wasn't wrapped in her blanket and she started marking about a week week and a half into her being in the hospital we miss her standing on her own for the first time from there she started taking little cautious steps she continued improving a month later and to see her walk herself out of the hospital and get in the car to me for foster that was everything when I went and picked her up from the Animal Hospital she was so nervous the entire ride home but it was amazing like as soon as we got inside it just felt like she took this big exhale and was able to just come alive she picked up toys and was starting to play and like she was just sniffing around and so excited she was like totally ready to be in a home she was totally ready to like jump on the couch and watch TV with us she started to become more active like little by little she would just start like testing the boundaries a little bit like jumping up on the couch I think when she started to go on walks is when she was like wow there's a whole lot of world out there [Music] she blows everybody away cuz they're like she's running she's jumping like what every single day I would wake up and have to loosen her collar [Music] it's very curious and like very mischievous and adventurous and silly she loves to cuddle and she just loves to be around people you could see pieces of her personality but all those little pieces have just kind of like magnified and grown and become this like very full wonderful being just to have her get this chance to recover is so exciting and it's not over for her yet she still is gonna find a home and she still have so much more growth and life left for her yes every single day when she wakes up she's like oh my god I can't believe you're here can't believe I get to do this again today like comment and subscribe
