THE DAEMON LOVER VIDEO (Scottish Sea Shanty) - Harp Twins, Camille and Kennerly
Description
"The Daemon Lover" is an old Celtic Scottish Sea Shanty that many people call “House Carpenter.” It is a jaunty yet haunting Scottish tale about love, lust, and loss. Like so many fables and folktales, this song is a cautionary story about succumbing to the glamour and romance of darkness. We knew we wanted to include a Scottish song in our new Harp Reflections album because while working on the album, we found out a new bit of our ancestry that had been lost to time. Our Aunt was recently doing ancestry research found that we had a line going directly back to Scotland! It seems that our Norwegian family tried to hide this Scottish heritage. Lol, x2 Our grandma’s great-grandfather was Charles Muir Campbell. Our aunt found copious amounts of history about Charles, including his own Wikipedia article, which had information about his personal friendship with Abraham Lincoln.
