First try refreshing your browser or try another browser. If that doesn't work, read the following.

All the videos on my website are embedded from Youtube. From what little information I can find Youtube is testing turning off videos for certain users that are not logged into a Youtube account or using a VPN to view videos. If you have a Youtube account, please try logging in and see if you can then view the videos on https://mvotd.com. If you're using a VPN, try turning it off to view the videos. There are a few other work arounds but they are pretty confusing to use. If you have the skills you might try searching Google for "Youtube Sign in to confirm you're not a bot" for a fix. I didn't see any that looked easy. Our best hope is that Youtube completes their test and realizes this is a big mistake. Until then, please check in daily to see if you still getting the error message. Sorry it took so long to figure out what was going on with this. Mel

Description

Here is a montage of the bull moose we captured on camera in late summer and fall this year. Impressive creatures! And these are just the videos of bulls whose antlers were visible in the videos.

Our cameras are set only a few feet off the ground at most to get good footage of wolves, which generally means that when a moose goes by we often only see the bottom half. And we didn’t think folks would be interested in a 3-minute montage of moose wee-wees…

All this to say, we got more videos of bull moose than this video shows but you couldn’t see their antlers. Also, this only contains videos through end of October since that is when we last downloaded footage from our cameras so likely got more footage after that.

Anyway, it seems like we definitely saw more moose—bulls, cows, and calves— on our cameras this year than any previous year, which could suggest a little bump in the population but hard to know. Could also simply be due other factors such as camera placements, number of cameras out, etc.
