Every year, since 9/11, Chris Sneed (aka "Flash") climbs the craggy peak on Hwy 50 between Spooner Summit and Carson City, Nevada, to replace the tattered, worn-out American Flag which flys to honor our troops. In 2020, Rick Bernagozzi happened to be passing by as it was getting ready to happen and he stopped to grab some shots and assembled this unexpected video. Given all the turmoil of 2020, it was an emotional moment .

Thanks for sharing my video here and making it watchable by a wider audience...In these tumultuous times an event like this gives us hope...I was lucky enough to have a camera with me as I was leaving Lake Tahoe and saw this event ready to happen...If you are in the Tahoe/Carson City area on Sept. 10th next year, join in the event and let's show Flash how much we appreciate his effort. Wonderful man doing a great and wonderful thing each year to honor our flag and what it represents. God Bless the men and women who made our country what it is. Anyone who disagrees can leave. I have my flag flying every day.
Flash is "The Man". Kudos to him for what he does each year. I believe in our flag and what it represents. I have a 25' pole in front of my house that gets a new flag twice a year.
