Everyone among the woke crowd who said" %$@# the 4th of July", should see your video and learn something about their history. They should be ashamed of their behavior.

  • Pat Burns

That will send chills down your spine if you have any compassion at all. This is a beautiful story and very meaningful for all AMERICANS. I just wish it could be sent to everyone right now. Thank You for it.

  • Carole

This is a wonderful story that I had not heard before. It is amazing what our Patriots did for us. The one issue that does concern me and most people do not know is that Francis Scot Key was a terrible racist and the other verse of the song has words that are supportive of slavery.

  • Paul

That gave me chills. I love our country !!!

  • Ruth Bergman

I cried so hard for what they went thru. If only others could watch and appreciate what they did to die for our country. prayer is all we have left.

  • Ruth Lampe

You really ought to check the accuracy of the words to the anthem before publishing it. "Hailed," not "held." "Fight" not "flight.' "Ramparts," not "ramperts."

  • david

awesome video . I had forgotten about the roots of the song. its a good reminder what the flag means to Americans... so, what does it mean to you?

  • Mike

Great video. Only issue with it is referring to colonies. This was the war of 1812, there were 19 states by then. But the video does a great job of giving meaning to the words of the song.

And it is the perpetual American that will hold that flag upright and proudly today. I refuse to surrender my country without a fight. Till my last breath, if necessary. Godspeed to all the Patriots out there. We didn't start this fight but we sure as heck will finish it.

I would love to know who did the reading, as well as the singing. Both did a beautiful job!

  • Gert

This is absolutely beautiful! Thank You so much for sharing it, Mel!

  • Jean

Wonderful presentation. I am wondering who gave the commentary and who sang the anthem? Thanks, Jean

  • BA

Thanks for this terrific video Mel. It taught me a lot I didn't know about that night. It sent shrills down my spine.

  • ursula hartunian

so glad to be an American!!!

  • Love

That was a very good video - that deserves a coffee. Happy, healthy Fourth

Touching, but terribly inaccurate. First it speaks of a battle that took place at Ft. McHenry, but calls it Ft. Henry. Secondly, but just as importantly, there were actually few casualties there and certainly, the flag was NOT supported by bodies. Mel, I know this is a popular video, but sooo distorted!@

  • CAROL HAZELETT

MEL, THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL THANK YOU!!!!

  • Blanche

    This was beautiful.

  • Ann

EVERY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT SHOULD SEE THIS VIDEO.

  • Patrick

Beautifully done. Everyone of age should serve time in the military like the Israelis, and learn what our country & flag is all about and be proud to live in such a wonderful free land. Those that don't care to serve should just relocate to another country of their choice, just not here.
