Friendships and flowing water truly heal the rescued lives of former captive working elephants. Wild or captive, all elephants deserve to live in harmony with the natural world. The lives of wild elephants are continuously threatened and their habitat diminishes every day. The lives of captive elephants bear the marks of an unconscionable life of harm for human work or entertainment.
Much must yet be done to preserve the lives of wild elephants. And, for captive elephants, there is a dawn toward a better day, but it begins with respect, love, and care. It begins, as a bare minimum, of life as it is at Elephant Nature Park. And that’s a good beginning!
