  • CharMaine Added The Alka-Seltzer bottle, I used to put quarters in there when my Mom was finished with it. Then I had one for dimes, nickels, LOL. Avon, "the Avon Lady" was always a "neighbor". My Mom passed in '87 and I have a small box of her stuff including a little of her Avon jewelry. Today, I'd be afraid the Avon Lady is a kook in a dress (good grief, some ppl out there have lost their minds). Mercurochrome: If you got that on an abrasion that meant you were battle-tested on the field of play. Brylcream: " A little dab will do ya". Those metal boxes from Band-Aid were keepers too. Ban Anti-Perspirant Roll On, $.87 -- OM Gosh what a bargain. Bactine. Every kid wanted that as opposed to Peroxide, you knew the
Peroxide was going to sting wicked. For the record: I never looked in anyone's medicine cabinet. Ever. My Mom raised me right. Also, for the record, we had absolutely everything showcased in this video. What an amazing ride down memory lane. Thank you so much Mel, for reminding me of how lucky I was to be a kid when I was. Fond memories and they still bring a smile to my heart.
