Orphaned leopard cat first moment in the jungle : Cambodia Wildlife Sanctuary
Description
At Cambodia Wildlife Sanctuary (CWS) we have rescued many animals from the cage, or from the market before being sold for food. Some of our animals our rangers confiscated from the poacher. Many arrived with injuries, or with mental trauma.
It takes time to heal both mind and body. We care for them until the animal is strong and healthy, their shelters mimicking the natural environment, allowing them to learn certain behaviors before release. All of them we let go into our protected wild, where they return to their natural home with no fear of harm.
This leopard is one of many animals that we have rescued from the human, and today we return her to her jungle home.
With tentative steps, her will to explore overcomes any anxiety she initially feels.
Let the wild animal remain in their native home. They are not meant to be pets or food on a plate. Free and Wild is the mantra we should embrace in this world of diminishing diversity. It is our duty to Protect them.
