Oakley is trained to do water rescues. In Italy there are over 400 dogs that do life gurading every weekend. Here in the US, Oakley is pretty much the only one. Oakley is a Newfoundland, the best water dog in the world.

awesome story. Dogs rule!
Fantastic story . . . love the goggles. Great idea to protect her eyes from sticks, bugs, or debris in the water. Her owner(s) have a beautiful relationship with her as well. A life-saving family. Doesn't get much better than that.
Oakley is a GIRL! Watch the video one more time and you will see her owner calling her a "her".

We need to have more water rescue dogs like Oakley in the United States.
Love the video watching Oakley in action doing his rescues, but the goggles? Said they are worn to protect his eyes. But how can he see as well? And with goggles, they can fog up, leak water, and impede vision (as what has happened to me when wearing them,) They look "cool" but NOT cool!
