Just Spoolin' Around

Maybe my favorite thing about goats is that (like human kids) they can make a toy out of just about anything. Lay a board over two cinder blocks, and it becomes a balance beam, put out a row of wrapped shavings and they become a slip 'n slide. But maybe their favorite toy of all are spools. If you cut a hole in the center they can become a shelter, flip them in their side for more of a challenge, or an old top in the pasture tilted up is also super fun! Perhaps they will inspire us today to find some fun with whatever we have available and rediscover our sense of play.
