  • Al Hartley Added I think that this is a wonderful story. I had a similar situation 10 years ago. I had a very large tumor in my brain and life was very tough for several years after the surgery. It was a slow recovery and a neighbor down 5he road from us had a dog that would come and visit me in the middle of the night. The dog (Molly) was for me much better than all of the drugs that I was taking to recover. She would very carefully climb up on my lap and stare at hy head and whine very gently. After a couple minutes of the whining she would settle down in my lap and completely calm my thoughts down and make it possible for me to sleep. She would do that for a few hours then go to the back door and give a very small almost whispered bark to let me know that she wanted to go home. I told her owners about how she was taking care of me and they didn’t even know she was going out at night. This went on for a couple of months until I was getting over the surgery enough to where I could sleep a little on my own. That dog was better for me than all of the medication and doctors visits were.
  • Jc Added This really touched me as I have recently gone through breast cancer. I wish I could of had a "Willow" but I am also blessed to be cancer free!
