Description
Kabu is a handicapped elephant who suffered an injury to her front leg as a baby while with her mother in a logging area. From that day, she has struggled to walk normally. Our veterinary team has adjusted a prosthetic leg designed specifically for Kabu by Derrick Campana to help her walk better. When the prosthetic was installed though, Kabu stood still, refusing to move anywhere, even when her friends tried to stand beside her and take her for a walk. It will take a while for Kabu to become accustomed to the prosthetic. We hope that one day, Kabu will welcome her prosthetic leg and use it to assist her to walk better.
