Winter Train
Winter Train
As the snow falls softly to the ground,
A train speeds through the winter landscape,
Its whistle blowing, its wheels turning round,
Leaving a trail of steam in its wake.
The windows are frosted, the air is cold,
But inside, the passengers are warm,
Huddled together, young and old,
Watching the world pass by in a storm.
The trees are bare, the fields are white,
A winter wonderland for all to see,
The train barrels on through the night,
A beacon of light and energy.
The passengers dream of their destination,
Of the warmth and love that awaits,
As the winter train carries them across the nation,
Onward to their holiday fates.
So if you find yourself in the wintertime,
And the snow is falling all around,
Take a ride on a winter train,
And let the journey warm you to the ground.
