Video Description:
Cars in the 1960s were starting to change. People were wanting power and auto manufactures were delivering on those demands. Body styles were sleek and the cars were large. No one had any concern over gas prices or miles per gallon. The 60s gave way to some iconic cars such as the Mustang and Camaro which have remained popular to this day. In this video we will have a look at some 1960s snapshots of people with cars.

Yep. Those 'stangs were everywhere! I never owned one. 1) I'm not blonde. 2) I'm an Olds/Chevy gal. Does anyone even remember the Oldsmobiles? Thanks, Mel.
Back then, I really wanted a Mustang, but I couldn't afford one. I did have a really nice 1946 Ford, and I wish I still had that car.
so did I Todd, mine was a convertible, almost lost my license drag racing, they were fast.
I love the old cars.
Love this Mel! brings back lots of great memories!!
Love it! How about those Mustangs! I had a 641/2 Mustang, 289, 4 barrel carb, and 4 speed manual transmission. Wish I still had it!
I had a '57 Chevy, and then a '62 Cutlass. In 1968 I bought a '68 Barracuda. I loved cars, and still do.
Memories.....Had a 64 Vette $$$$ Needed 2 jobs just to afford it. But loved it !!!
I was married in 1959. In 1961 my wife and I and young child made a trip to Ft. Lauderdale Florida to visit a buddy. We had a Volkswagen beetle that got thirty miles to a gallon and gas was 29 cents a gallon. The trip was three thousand miles round trip and it cost us thirty dollars total for gas for the entire trip. Today I can't buy one tank of gas for that price.
