From giving your cat a massage to rubbing their chins, here are 15 simple things you should do more often for your pet. Your cat will definitely thank you for your efforts!
Massage instead of just stroking
Being petted is one of the highlights of the day for many cats. but try massaging your cat. Cats can also be tense and they enjoy a little more pressure as long as you don't overdo it.
Rubbing their chins
Cats enjoy having the sides of their chin rubbed and scratched. If you scratch your cat's chin frequently, it will probably make them very happy.
Spreading resources
Cats view their litterboxes, beds, and scratching posts as their territorial signposts. Instead of putting these scent soakers in one corner of your home, spread them out around your house. This gives your cat territorial security and a sense of ownership over their living space. It helps your cat’s feel more confident and happier in your home.
More food variety
Just like how humans can get bored of eating the same food each day, so can your cat!
By feeding a diverse diet, you improve the likelihood that your cat is getting the correct vitamins and minerals they need for a healthy life.
Feeding a variety of foods also prevents your cat from becoming finicky. Cats who eat only one type of food are more likely to refuse to try another.
Special food
Most cats are very picky eaters. They also have instinctive resistance to new foods, finding new food taste or texture unappealing.
Nevertheless, there are some foods that most cats cannot resist due to excitement. Eggs and fresh fish are at the top of this list. Make sure to remove the fish skeletons and don’t add any salt or seasonings. Tuna is exceptionally appealing to cats, but do not feed them regularly as they might avoid eating their regular cat food in favor of tuna.
Setup new adventure playgrounds
Although most cats don’t like changes in their surroundings, like rearranging furniture, this is not the case with setting up new adventure playgrounds.
Bring a little more happiness to your kitty's life with a fun, cat-friendly playground. There’s nothing like watching your cat joyfully race up and down a climbing structure or playing with their favorite toy.
Novelty
While cats have individual preferences for favorite types of toys, most enjoy the thrill of getting any new toy.
However, just like children, they may become bored with it after a few days. Try attaching different items onto the end of the string attached to a rod for different play sessions.
Change up the view
Cats love watching the world from their windows.
All you need is a cat hommock or a special windowsill for your pet to chill out in. They will love their new window spot and it will provide plenty of stimulation and enrichment to their lives.
Opportunity to play with water
Although cats hate getting soaked in water, many cats love lapping up and playing with running water.
You may have also seen cats batting at a stream of water with their paw and joyfully spreading the water around the room.
Providing your cat with a pet fountain not only encourages your cat to play, but also to drink more water.

Let them watch TV
Television can make for great entertainment.
Cats often like videos that show animals like birds and mice running around or fish swimming.
Likewise, many cats like playing cat games on iPad or Android tablets. It provides excellent intellectual stimulation and keeps your cat's mind active.

Do the difficult things
Your cat's claws will grow long and sharp and they may curve back into their paw pads if they are not maintained correctly. Overgrown nails can also be snagged and caught on soft surfaces.
Make sure to introduce nail trimming into your cat’s routine so they get use to the procedure.

Talk to them
Cats like it when you talk to them, and there’s scientific research to back that up. Your soft and soothing voice will help keep them calm and relaxed.

Warm spots
Cats sleep between 12–16 hours a day, and they love nothing more than a warm, comfy place to slumber in.
Favorite spots are basking in the sun or on a pile of freshly dried clothes, but really, they like anywhere that it is warm. You can help your cat by making sure their bed is in a warm spot and keeping a sunny area clear for them to lounge in
Play with them
A new study finds that despite their reputations for being independent, cats would rather play with humans than eat a tasty treat.
Playing with your cat will make your pet feel happy and loved.
Cat fishing poles or plush mice are two of the most popular options.
Spending more time with them
Contrary to what many people believe, domestic cats are not solitary animals.
Cats need the company and attention of their favorite humans.
Make sure to provide your pet with cuddles and regular social interaction.
Vet check-ups
Cats are unable to let us know how they are feeling.
