On the way home, Pyi Mai became so absorbed in playing with Faa Mai that she wandered away from her mother, Kham Moon. When Kham Moon returned to the sleeping area and realized her child was no longer beside her, she called out loudly. In fact, the entire herd became animated — multiple trumpets can be heard and tails were held high.
Pyi Mai immediately responded and ran back to join the herd before they all continued home together in lively conversation at Elephant Nature Park.
