When Elephant Mother Lek ventures out into the Elephant Nature Park field and calls for her family, the air fills with joyful squeaks and low, deep rumbles of delight and contentment. The rumbling can be felt rippling through your body if you are close enough, or even from miles away if you are an elephant.

Faa Mai, grand and proud, embraces Mother Lek and then takes hold of her hat strings to guide her along. It is endearing to watch the elephants gather around her as she walks through the park, enveloping her in their family embrace. Baitoey, ThongAe, Jokia, and the babies, Chaba and LekLek, join in the family gathering.
