All the big kids went out into the pasture to play with the herd today, but the little kids aren’t quite ready, so we had a little pajama party in the barn. Iggy, Jack and Jasper in the sunflower pajamas are just three days old, and the little strawberry goats, Honey & Harriet are five days old. In the first week, every day makes a huge difference in their ability to hop and climb. It’s so fun to wake up each morning and see what each of the kids can do.
We currently have 20 babies, 12 boys and 8 girls. We expect a total of about 50 kids by the time kidding season winds up in the first week of July.
Sweet Honeysuckle is due today and Abby is due on Monday, so we expect new little goats will join the party soon.
We open to the public for free visiting on Saturdays 11-5 starting on May 23. And you are welcome every Saturday until Halloween. We can’t wait for you to meet the kids in person. Yoga begins on Thursday, May 21 at 5:30 and our Saturday yoga classes begin on the 23rd at 9:30. You can get your tickets online. On our first day open, we will be joined 10:30-12 by Eighty-8 donuts ???? who will help us celebrate, making it through the winter and into this sweeter time of the year.
