Video Description:

After spending nearly 20 years isolated and being rehomed multiple times, Carmen was scared, sad, and misunderstood. But when Alexis brought him home and gave him patience, stability, and love, this once-aggressive bird began to open up in the sweetest way.

Imagine the change in that bird's brain when she came along and began engaging with him (for him, that is very normal) after having been isolated. She has so dramatically changed his life. Probably added another 20 years onto his lifespan. Alexis truly is a superhero. Love to see this happy "beginning".

I've never been much of a bird lover (except chicken, I LOVE fried chicken), but he is cute. I'm glad that this girl was able to bring him into a place where he can be happy.

My dad used to have one just like Carmen but his bird was Daffy. When my dad passed away, my mom gave Daffy away and I found her at the greenhouse years later, feathers gone and not talking. There she stayed until she too died. I wish I could have taken her--I really miss Daffy!!

Great thing to do for a bird who has been through so much.
