Newborn Triplet Goats in PJs
Description
If you exercise in your pajamas, then you are already dressed for your post-walk nap! Goats really know how to live! The first babies are two days old and just getting their first tentative hops together. Josephine is the bravest at trying her hops. I predict by tomorrow, they will be masters of the LEAP just in time likely to meet Cinnamon's kids who look like they might arrive today. Mama Amelia keeps a very close eye on them, constantly counting them and standing in the way of anything that seems risky (like our potbelly pig Sanford!) and her kids. She is happiest when all three stay very close together so she can keep an eye on them all at once. Such a good mother goat. At the end of this morning's adventure, I got the sweetest treat...both Larry and the baby goat and Ed the barn cat on my lap for a snuggle in the sun. It does not get any better than that! Now they have all snuggled up in their stall again with mom. You can check them out and maybe catch Cinnamon having her kids on the live barn cam! http://www.sunflowerfarm.info/sunflow... These three kids are going to their new home together at 8 weeks! How awesome is that! They will have a very sweet owner who has been researching for years and has always wanted goats! This year we are naming the kids based on a travel theme! Since we are all stuck at home we thought it might be a fun reminder of all that is connecting us around the world! Lots of cool city names planned. Feel free to share more int he comments inspired by your favorite places. But before we begin themed names...a number of people purchased naming rights for someone they love this winter and we are working through those first!
