Video Description:

I colorized, restored, and created the sound design for rare 1960s footage capturing vibrant scenes around New York City — including the Queensboro and Triborough Bridges, Welfare and Wards Islands, and the busy Long Island Expressway. The film showcases the city’s dynamic atmosphere during the decade, from crowds watching ice skaters at Rockefeller Center to the bustling streets of Broadway, 42nd Street, and Times Square filled with pedestrians, cars, and buses. Inside Grand Central Station, travelers gather around the information booth and ticket counters, while outside, a police officer directs traffic and commuters flow in and out of the subway.

Video Restoration Process:
FPS boosted to 60 frames per second
Image resolution boosted up to HD
Improved video sharpness and brightness
Colorized only for the ambiance (not historically accurate)
added sound only for the ambiance
restoration:(stabilisation,denoise,cleand,deblur)

Please, be aware that colorization colors are not real and fake, colorization was made only for the ambiance and do not represent real historical data.
