Description

Yesterday afternoon, after days of us watching and excitedly waiting for her kids to arrive, Honeysuckle had four kids born in record time. In just over 15 minutes all four kids were out, dried off, and nursing. They pretty much each popped out in rapid fire! Way to go Honeysuckle!! Ned is the littlest goat born so far this season, so we are keeping an extra eye on him, but he seems to be doing well despite his quieter voice and much smaller body. Sometimes when goats have multiple kids, they don’t all get exactly the same resources, my guess is that he just needs a little more time to develop and he will be just as feisty and noisy as the rest. They are all such beautiful baby goats. we are watching 4 more mamas who could kid at any moment! Then a big break to enjoy the kids and get caught up on life until the last batch arrive in mid to late July!
