Video Description:
Step back in time to the 1960s, when life felt simpler, and everyday moments became cherished memories. The golden age of soda fountains, console TVs, and collecting stamps was an era that shaped a generation — yet so much of it is now forgotten.

great times great memories for sure:)
I think the soda fountain got mixed with the neighborhood bar.
Paper maps helped me realize I needed bifocal glasses.
Thanks Mel.
I graduated high school in 1964. Yes, those were such great times. I recall all in this video. Sometimes I wish I could go back there again. I tell my friends; we grew up in the Better Years.
Thanks Mel . I was born in 1951 this was MY Time .
I would go back in a heartbeat !! I do believe we were happier than people today !!
Stay Safe ! C. G.
Lovely trip down memory lane! I remember them all.
Fun memories, and I lived them all. Still have a couple of road maps. Loved the root beer floats!
Another great one Mel!
I still use maps to get around.
Many great things to remember about the swingin' sixties! I wonder why things just seemed so much better then even though we didn't have all the conveniences we do now. I licked many a Green Stamp to fill mama's books. at least till she found out a damp sponge worked better and I didn't have to look like an alien anymore! I loved Fizzies. They came in a long strip of 12 tablets and had many flavors.
So many great memories! Thanks Mel!
Lots of good memories Mel. Those were fun times.
The creator beats each subject to death. Fizzies were not popular. Phones, party lines or private, were expensive, charged by the minute costs. Can openers were easier that current "break your nail" openings.
WE did not 'tune into the movie on the radio' in the 60s. Few cars had quality speaker systems. The speaker was in the dashboard. That 'tune into the radio' came much later. We had the screechy box in the window.
Banana seats were not comfortable. They were style over comfort. Nobody was comfortable sitting on their tailbone.
Few A&W servers were on skates. They worked in normal shoes. He missed the bigger point. A&W Root Beer was BREWED FRESH, not dispensed by a carbonating fountain.
Lame video...
Ahhhhhhh memories
Good one Mel. Brought back memories
Great memories ......Thanks Mel
Nice memories. The photos used are a compilation of the 1940's through 1960's for sure. (SSSHHH, don 't tell anyone!). As for TV remote control, the first one was one Zenith (I think), in 1956. It had a cable to the TV set, allowed off and on, volume control, and up and down station selection. Fond memories. Thanks.
Great fun video--it brings back memories. Thanks to whoever put this together.
Thanks, some of the things I did forget but remember them well after watching the viedo
