The New Year Signpost stands tall and proud
It points to a fresh start, a new year and a loud crowd
It says goodbye to the old, and hello to the new
A time to make resolutions, and to start anew
But don't get too excited, it's just a signpost you see
It's not a magic wand, or a genie in a tree
So don't go expecting too much from this little guy
He's just here to remind us to give it a try
So here's to the New Year, and all it will bring
May it be filled with laughter, love, and a little bit of bling
And when the signpost points to the future, we'll follow its lead
