  • Tom Joyce Added Brought Back fond memories of trips we took with our Kids who are now in their 60s
  • Carol Stubblefield Added Brought back great memories of my families trips from Mexico to New York & Pennsylvania to visit grandparents & family. Awesome pictures of America
  • Helen Added Chris Allen, I owe you a coffee
  • Christine Added Amazing, Thank you
  • BA Added Thanks Mel: Very nice.
  • Jim Added cool1
  • Boyd Added Beautiful and entertaining as well. Besides the miscue on the '56 Chevy wagon (not a Nomad), the '57 identified as a "Biscayne" is a 210. The Biscayne didn't come out until 1958.
  • Marilyn Hawkins Added I thoroughly loved this trip down memory Lane as we as a family drove with our airstream to several of those wonderful places. I wish our America was as peaceful now….those were innocent days …loved the cars! We had a Ford “ woody” and a Ford sunliner.
  • Roy Added A note to Mary Jane. My family is white. We didn't get a car until I was 14 years old. It was for my Father to get to his job across the county because there were no bas lines..
WE NEVER TOOK IT ON A VACATION.
    You may be the racist.
  • CharMaine Added Scenery is magnificent! Breath-taking. And the cars . . . beautiful buggies. I hope some of those are now in garages and museums today. "Classics" and built like tanks. Thanks for the ride down memory lane, Mel.

Mary Jane, POC don't like camping (I asked them). It's not really their thing. They like to fine dress and hang in sparkly clubs with live music like you find in Vegas. And the Tepee's weren't insulting to Native Americans. Native Americans made an honest, lucrative living as owner operators and from that they raised their large families. They were very successful because of the tourists. I asked them about that during my travels through OK. So, what makes you think it was "insulting" to a Native American? Are you Native American? Just curious.
  • Amber Added This was an interesting video (especially for chevy fans), I liked the music also.
    Glad you are well !!!
  • Mary Jane Added From watching this video, it appears that only white people travelled during the 50's and 60's which I find hard to believe. And the "teepees" are insulting to Native Americans. I'm glad we have moved beyond those racist years, though we still have a long way to go.
  • CHARLIE G. Added HI MEL , I HAD MY HEAD UNDER THE HOOD OF A LOT OF THOES CLASIC CARS !! YOU ONLY NEEDED AN AMERICAN SOCET SET AND A COUPLE SCREWDRIVERS TO KEEP EM RUNNIN !!
    GREAT SCENERY TOO !!!
  • Randy Ferguson Added Ah, a great trip down memory lane. Thanks Mel!
  • mercedes Added Great video--I grew up mostly in the 50's. It's sad to see how times have changed since then.
  • Karen Bryan Added That '56 Chevy wagon is not a Nomad. The Nomad had only 2 doors.
  • Charlie Added Great!
  • Merridy Added Awesome!!!!!
  • Lola Added My era.....Enjoyed it a lot.
