Ground up rotisserie restoration at a very qualified shop we have known for decades. It was finished in 2011, only 5,000 miles were put on since. It is in amazing shape, better than new!

EXTERIOR: This was taken down to a bear shell put on a rotisserie and restored to pristine condition. NOS fenders, headlight buckets and quarter panels. There is zero rust or damage. It's arrow straight and fits precisely. It has the Sprint hood with built in turn signals. The Candy Apple Red paint is blocked and polished better than new, it has a glass finish. All new chrome and trim, many NOS pieces. NOS remote mirrors on each side. All new glass. Upgraded sequential turn signals and an NOS power antenna. The entire convertible was restored: painted frame, new weatherstrips, power top pump and lines. The tan top is in excellent shape. 15 inch Torque Thrust wheels.

INTERIOR: I sat in the car and that's when I was really impressed. Not only does every part down to the little bits and pieces look new but everything fits right too. This is one of the best interiors I've seen. The seats were rebuilt including new tracks, cushions, and upholstery. They were upgraded with headrests for safety. The door panels, armrests, handles were replaced. New carpet and 2 sets of mats. New deluxe console with an aftermarket armrest console on top. It has an NOS tilt swing away wheel. The dash pad, instrument panel, gauges, knobs etc. all look mint. It has a retro stereo. It also has a chrome tissue dispenser. All new wiring harness. New heater blower. New red seatbelts.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is rebuilt and detailed like a new car. The 289 was completely rebuilt. The correct carb was rebuilt, actually every component was rebuilt or replaced. Upgraded electronic ignition. Radiator and heater core were replaced. It features power steering and brakes. All the finishes are smooth and neat. It's complete including a washer bottle, battery hold down, fan shroud and under hood light.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is refinished like new. Under the trunk lid, the jamb and inside are painted smooth and glossy. The weatherstrip, mat, and well liner were replaced. It has complete jack and spare assembly. It has a trunk light. It also has a carpeted mats. There are boxes of extras that are included as well.

UNDERSIDE: The front end steering and suspension has been completely rebuilt and detailed. The rear suspension has also been completely rebuilt. Upgraded Koni gas shocks. The fuel system was replaced. The brake system was completely rebuilt. It has disc in front with stainless sleeves. New e-brake cables, hoses and lines. Factory type dual exhaust system with the GT tips going through the valance. Looking up at the motor it's spotless Ford blue, the fuel pump and starter look fresh. The C-4 automatic transmission has been rebuilt, it looks clean. The drive shaft is rebuilt. There is no rust under this car. The rockers, floors and frame rails are all clean metal with a nice coat of black paint.

SERVICE: It passed our inspection with flying colors. All it needed was a power top switch.

CONCLUSION: I'm blown away at this car's condition. Like I said, I know the shop that restored it and they only do things the right way. Today their paint jobs start at $25,000. The owner's were very fussy: the extra parts are all bagged and labeled, they had an overflow bottle installed so antifreeze doesn't drop on their driveway, they have mats on top of the mats. It looks like it was restored yesterday. Not only is the condition amazing but so are are the colors and features!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.
