This is one of the coolest Mustangs I've seen! I love everything about it: the colors, stripes, matching two tone interior etc. It's full of cool features like the Recaro pony seats, pulled in rear bumper, air conditioning and much more!
EXTERIOR: It was given some aggressive looks with the Shelby treatment. Up front is the Shelby R model lower valance and deleted bumper. Shelby fiberglass scooped hood molded in quarter panel scoops and in back is the Shelby dovetail trunk lid. It has a custom made grill with built in projector lights. Turn signals are in the custom headlights. It also has Ring Brothers hood pins and billet taillights. The body looks amazing. It is straight, no rust or damage. The rear bumper has been smoothed and tucked. It is painted a gorgeous Silver Blue with metallic white stripes from tip to tip. The jambs are clean, theill plates even have light up ponys. It is smooth and glossy. The convertible top is bright white. Modern version of the Shelby wheels, they're 17 inch aluminum 10 spokes with performance tires.
INTERIOR: It's just as cool as the outside. Beautiful two tone deluxe pony interior. Upgraded sport seats with adjustable headrests, a center console with armrest cushion and cup holders. In front of you is a set of white face gauges with tachometer and a wood rimmed Shelby style wheel. A retro stereo fits in the factory hole and there's kick panel speakers. Down on the floor is fresh looking carpet with embroidered Mustang mats. Deluxe molded door panels with custom billet handles. Upgraded retractable shoulder belts. It's completely restored.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Wow, it looks great under the hood! The heart of it is a performance built 289 motor. It was bored, has aluminum heads and intake, an Edelbrock carb with electric choke, a Mallory Unilite billet distributor with electronic ignition and a set of coated headers. The front of the motor has a serpentine belt, powder coated pulleys, a/c compressor and Power Master alternator. It has a modern power steering with braided hoses. It runs cool with an electric fan, aluminum water pump, radiator and overflow bottle. It has a power brake assist and billet master cylinder. TCI shock tower support brace reduces flex and improves handling. Great looking billet hood hinges work smoothly. Everything looks neat and clean.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted slick like the car, the stripes even continue into the jambs. Inside is clean metal with a spatter finish paint. The weatherstrip, mat and well liner were replaced. The battery is relocated to the trunk.
UNDERSIDE: The steering and suspension was completely rebuilt. Upgraded fatter swaybar. Welded in tubular frame connectors tie the front to the back. The fuel system has been replaced including the tank, sending unit and lines. The brake system has been completely upgraded. It has Baer drilled and slotted disc at all four wheels. E-brake cables, lines and hoses were all replaced. It has a great sounding dual exhaust with stainless Borla mufflers and polished tips going out through the valance. Looking up at the motor it has an anodized extra capacity oil pan, starter and fuel pump look fresh. It's upgraded with a Ford AOD automatic overdrive transmission from Len Tech Automatics. It has an external oil cooler and a chrome pan. Rebuilt drive shaft goes back to a new 9 inch Currie rear end. It appears to be rock solid. The frame rails, floor pans and torque boxes are in excellent shape.
SERVICE: We inspected this car and it passed with flying colors!
This checks the boxes. It's beautiful, the colors and features will turn heads. The mechanics are awesome with very significant upgrades which makes it fun and reliable to use. It would cost far more to build!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
