What a great looking Impala with Super Sport trim, a unique color and aggressive stance! Loaded up how you like it with a healthy 496 stroker and a 4-speed along with some of the comforts you enjoy including air conditioning, power windows, power steering, and power disc brakes. Nicely restored and a thick folder of receipts comes with it.
EXTERIOR: I love the profile of this car! Those voluptuous curves really do it for me. The heavy doors do not sag when opened and close very easily like a new car. The Artesian turquoise paint is an absolutely gorgeous color, it was polished to a glossy and reflective finish. A cowl induction flapper from a Chevelle was custom applied to the stock hood and was tastefully executed, it functions well too. All the chrome has a lustrous shine and new wheel well moldings were installed too. The bumpers were refinished. The windshield has been replaced and the remaining glass appears to be original with just a few minor scratches. The windows all have new weatherstripping, and it's also equipped with dual side mirrors that have the bow tie logo on the back. The Boss wheels look great and are size 18x8's in front, 18x9's in back. They are wearing performance sneakers.
INTERIOR: There are several very desirable features in here! You will be looking at a restored dash upgraded with nice looking Dakota digital gauges and electric slide climate controls. There's also a retro stereo in the factory hole and it's hooked up to 6x9 speakers in the back. An Ididit tilt column was installed with a thick walnut steering wheel. The seats have new reproduction upholstery on them. The factory console is in great shape with a correct chrome 4-speed shifter. The door panels and armrests are new and notice the power window switches too. The carpet looks good, and it has a complete set of factory seat belts. The headliner, visors, and mirror were replaced. The interior lights work.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: There are a lot of goodies under this hood and at the heart of it all is a big block 496 stroker! It has a Comp Cam, roller rockers, Edelbrock intake, Holley 750 carb, MSD ignition system and ceramic coated headers. It is nicely dressed in factory style chrome valve covers and air cleaner. It's been upgraded with a modern Vintage Air heat and air conditioning system. It has also been upgraded with hydro boost power brakes and steering. It has a new alternator; the squirters and horns are also hooked up. A four core aluminum radiator with an electric fan in addition to the fan on the engine keeps it cool. Overall, it looks clean and proper.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and jamb are painted nicely. Inside is solid metal with a spatter finish and a reproduction mat. It has a good spare and a working trunk light.
UNDERSIDE: The front-end steering and suspension looks like it was completely rebuilt recently. New springs and shocks in back. Complete custom exhaust, it practically has 2 exhaust systems! There are stainless electric dumps that diverts the exhaust to straight pipes exiting each side. Otherwise, it goes through full-size cherry bomb mufflers and all the way out the back. The brake system was rebuilt. Upgraded with discs in front, the lines were replaced, e-brake is hooked up too. The fuel tank, straps, and sending unit were replaced. Looking up at the motor it is clean and has been upgraded with an anodized extra capacity oil pan and a high torque starter. Rebuilt M-20 Muncie 4 speed manual transmission. It has a 12 bolt rear end out back. The floors look rock solid and have a thin undercoating. The frame is clean with a semi-gloss black finish.
SERVICE: We inspected the car and made adjustments to the rearview mirror and console, replaced the antenna and serviced the master cylinder.
Have some full-size fun! Open those dumps and shift gears when you're feeling like being bad! Put the power windows up, click the A/C when you're feeling like being cool!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car.
