This is a real Super Sport (designated in the VIN) with original #s matching motor, trans and rear. Factory born Regal Red with Ivory interior according to the trim tag. Born and raised in Georgia, very solid car. This one is a sweetheart, it looks and functions exceptionally well.

EXTERIOR: The body is really impressive. It is arrow straight with no rust or damage. No signs of repairs. The gaps are as precise as a Mercedes. Repainted it's original Regal Red color although it is polished better than when it was new. It is like red glass! All the chrome and stainless trim is straight and sparkles. The glass is really clear. The weather strips were replaced. I love the poverty caps on painted 15 inch rims. SS hubcaps are included too.

INTERIOR: It's a beautiful factory white interior. Excellent from floor to ceiling. The seats are reupholstered, the cushions are firm. The center console between the buckets is in pristine shape and has a correct style reverse lockout shifter. The door panels, armrests, window cranks and handles are mint. The dash area is beautiful. All the bezels, lenses, knobs, heater controls, glove box liner, steering wheel are mint. It has a factory in dash tachometer and a rare clock mounted on top. Down in the floor is new carpet, reproduction mats and optional seat belts. Overhead is a mint headliner, visors and working dome lights.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Beautifully detailed engine compartment. It is the original numbers matching 396-325 horsepower engine. It is stock with an upgraded aluminum intake. Everything looks proper: washers are hooked up, has horns, hood insulation etc. All the metal surfaces are painted very neatly.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted slick red. Inside is clean dry metal with a very neat coat of gray spatter finish. It has a red painted rim for a spare with a detailed jack assembly. The mat and weather strip were replaced.

UNDERSIDE: It looks very clean and orderly. The front end has been gone through. Several steering components, sway bar bushings and shocks were recently replaced. In back it has new springs, an added swaybar and air shocks. The brakes have been serviced, new hoses and the e-brake assembly is hooked up. It has a new fuel tank. New dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers, the tailpipes are tucked up neatly with turn down tips. Looking up at the motor it is clean Chevy Orange, starter looks clean, it has the correct canister type oil filter. The original dated Muncie 4-speed also looks clean, the linkage looks new. The drive shaft looks new. It has an original, correctly dated 12 bolt rear with 3.08 posi. Floors are all solid metal with a clean looking coat of black undercoat.

SERVICE: We inspected the car and it passed with flying colors, all we had to do was refasten a fuel line.

This is not the other 66 Impalas that are out there. This one is exceptional! The fit, finish and functions are extremely impressive. It's #s matching with great colors and a 4-speed. Nothing to apologize for here!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.
