Wow! This Vette is a knockout. It is slick throughout. It retains the classic look but has some serious upgrades that make it much more powerful, reliable and handle better.

EXTERIOR: This is one of the slickest, brightest red C2 Corvettes I've seen. The body appears to be in excellent shape. I don't see any cracking or damage. The panels lineup beautifully: square and flush. Doors click shut. The bright red is polished smooth like glass. Even the jambs are slick. It is virtually flawless. The body and paint are better than it was new! The classic white coves really set it off. It looks like all the chrome and stainless trim was either restored or replaced. New windshield. Weatherstrips were replaced. The convertible was all restored: painted frame, new weatherstrips, new white top. Red painted rims have mint hubcaps with spinners. They are wrapped in big whitewall radial tires.

INTERIOR: Beautiful matching red interior. It looks practically new, very detailed. It is also very functional. The clock, interior light, gauges all work. New wiring harness and upgraded fuse block. Dimmer and headlight switches were replaced. Down on the floor it has red and black speckled carpet and floor mats. The seats have been reupholstered. The door panels were replaced. The entire dash area is restored: new dash pad, instrument bezel is painted, gauges are clean. The center chrome bezels are new. There is a retro Corvette stereo in the factory spot. It's an original style steering wheel that's made smaller which makes it easier to get in and out.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Smooth running 350 motor has strong oil pressure. On top is an aluminum intake, Edelbrock carb with electric choke and new distributor. Dressed up with polished finned aluminum valve covers, chrome air cleaner and ignition shielding. It has an upgraded alternator, modern power steering system and a dual reservoir brake cylinder. It runs cool with an upgraded aluminum radiator, electric fan and an overflow bottle. All the components, brackets, nuts bolts look new. Bottom of the hood is painted gloss red.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It's finished off nicely. Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted glossy. Reproduction mat, seat divider and weatherstrip.

UNDERSIDE: It's had a major improvement in the front end. Upgraded independent suspension with tubular control arms, coilover adjustable gas shocks, rack & pinion steering. In back it has original swaybar, looks like the springs and shocks were replaced recently. The frame is solid and painted black. It has also been upgraded with disc brakes in front. E-brake assembly is hooked up. New correct style optional off-road exhaust system with crossover pipe. Looking up at the motor it is clean. Oil filter, starter, and fuel pump look fresh. New flywheel cover. Upgraded 700R-4 overdrive automatic trans with an external oil cooler. Custom made drive shaft leads back to the original rear end. The fiberglass floors are original and look great. I did not see any damage or repairs.

List of upgrades:
350 motor
Overdrive trans
Independent front suspension
Power rack & pinion steering
Disc brakes, dual reservoir master
Radial tires
Alternator instead of generator
Retro stereo
Electric choke
I think it is exceptional. Not only can you drive it anywhere, but it also has meticulous show quality fit and finishes!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.
