    Poor bird. I don't think this woman realized that the bird wasn't quite ready for flight. Another day or two to let her/him rest and get stronger for flight would have been a great thing to give her/him. She was pushing a toddler to run (in this case, flight) before the toddler could walk without falling. Hopefully she/he found somewhere (away from predators) to wait it out and build the strength for sustained flight.
