None of us moves through life entirely alone. We are shaped by those who walk beside us, those who came before us, and even those whose lives touch ours only briefly. In ways both seen and unseen, we accompany one another through life.
Being there for someone doesn’t mean fixing them or showing them which way to go. Often it simply means making space for them as they are. There is a deep comfort in being truly known and accepted, without feeling that we need to hide parts of ourselves or become someone else.
And that connection doesn’t necessarily end when someone dies. Those we have loved remain in our memories, in the way we see the world, and sometimes even in the face looking back at us in the mirror. We carry one another with us, and perhaps that is why even in our loneliest moments, none of us is ever truly alone.
