Can't take it from them these dogs, they're really emotional! Long life to them!
There's no point in lying, animals read minds and have a good idea of street layouts, in our experience. We just say we're going to the doctor's and really have never had any problems with any of our dogs over the years. The first one really loved going and would spend 10 minutes sniffing the rug inside the door to see who else was there.
Oh my goodness, there are certainly a lot of different attitudes going around...LOL
