Maliwan, Mae Koy, and Kham Paeng were rescued during the COVID-19 pandemic (2020–2021). Formerly used for trekking, they arrived at the Park severely underweight. Their pasts were marked by hardship: Maliwan’s trunk had been brutally injured with a knife, while Mae Koy and Kham Paeng bore multiple scars on their heads from repeated strikes with a bull hook. Since their rescue, all three have undergone a remarkable transformation from stressed and thin to healthy, happy, and plump. They are now free to live in nature, doing exactly what elephants love to do just being elephants as it should be at Elephant Nature Park.

ENP is such a wonderful place. My goodness they were starving when they got rescued. Now they are thriving as they should. With a ton of love and room to roam. All the natural things they long for naturally. This must really bring a smile to God's face when he sees his creatures living as He intended. I love this place. I really do. It warms my heart.
