I do not trust any of these sites for just this reason. God blessed this woman with the smarts to know something is wrong here. And she quickly backed out. It's fast and most of the time you end up screwed. Whew, dodged a bullet here. Alternatively, get a Visa prepaid card, make sure it's reloadable and use that.
Security Tip: I was just talking to someone about getting robbed when you go to meet up with someone like this from FB, etc. and they often want to meet in a public parking lot. I saw this story in Arlington TX actually and they caught the guy, but the Police Chief said, if you do these meetups, meet in the P.D.'s parking lot for the transactions. Which makes total sense. You won't get robbed (or abducted or carjacked) in a P.D.'s parking lot and if they don't want to or don't show, consider yourself lucky.
