That’s exactly what happened in Phoenix when Candid Camera set up shop. Chaos, laughter, and very confused car owners ensued—until the big reveal: “Smile! You’re on Candid Camera!” Turns out, the real prize was the laughs all along.

These were some of THE funniest times . . . I do miss our old comedy. We were blessed to have the fun, silly, clean stuff. I'm glad I got some of the best tv had to offer. Thanks for posting this, Mel. It made my evening.

Being a native New Yorker, I would have called the police! Candid Camera is a show that I always loved to watch, but this prank has legalities that I am surprised that the management did not recognize. How will Candid Camera return the ill-garnered money to those who each gave a dollar? This is petty larceny, unless a court of law determines that the value of the automobile is the point of theft. In that case, this is grand larceny. There was one mention of we can put your name on the raffle ticket. But, the representation is false. WHEW! Lucky for Candid Camera that Arizonans have a good sense of humor. Very entertaining and I am happy that this was not tried on me. Thanks for the laughs.
