The Stargazer is a state of the art, high efficiency, off-grid tiny house on wheels that was built for free with help from sponsors, volunteers and students, it was documented for free in the Tiny House Master Plan show, and then it was given away for free to one lucky winner! It has incredible features like a Japanese-inspired soaker tub in an expanding bathroom, a built-in deck that creates an open-air bedroom or home office, and transforming furniture like a murphy bed and a converting dinette.
It's off-grid systems include solar panels on the roof, a charge controller and batteries inside, on board water tanks, a composting toilet, and a tiny wood stove. But it also has standard RV hookups if it's parked where there's access to electricity, water and septic.
The tiny house itself is built on a state of the art triple axle gooseneck trailer that has built-in jacks on all four corners to level the house wherever it's parked. The house is built with metal framing and aluminum siding to keep it lightweight, it is insulated with spray foam, including underneath the trailer, and it is equipped with an HRV system (heat recovery ventilation) to ensure that fresh air is always coming in, and stale air is being exhausted, but without losing all the heat.
