Springtime Hats! Becorns | David M Bird #Video

I love designing Becorn hats, but I usually keep them simple so they're not distracting. It was fun to make the hats the focus.

My favorite hat is the simple one with the moss and sprout at 1:34. If I were to do it again, I would embellish that wasp nest hat with some brown stuff for a fall look. I would love to make a mushroom hat if I could find a good one.

I had fun filming that dandelion opening on Poppy’s head. I staged the scene indoors so I could control the light. I learned that dandelions open as a response to drying out. The first time I tried it, it took 2 days to open. The next time, I put it in a small room with a dehumidifier and it opened overnight. So cool!
