Video Description:
After leaving his job as a toy designer for Lego, David M. Bird wondered how he would feed his passion for developing interesting characters and storylines until he found his inspiration in a pile of sticks. Becorns are woodland creatures crafted from acorns, pine cones, and other natural materials, then photographed in nature with birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and other wildlife.

Just beautiful!!! I had 10 garbage bags of acorns last year. A bumper crop. I would love to have you to give them to. Your work is wonderful.
I loved this video so much. David’s Becorns are simply fantastical!
so creative; it stimulates others to use their creativity! Love this kind of art!
As someone who is addicted to building Leg kits, it would be fun to meet this gentleman to see if I've ever built something he designed. Thanks, Mel
Amazing Amazing Amazing - what a gifted, creative fun artist. Hmmm wonder if his photos are available to purchase.
Wow, Wow, Wow!!! What imagination this fellow has to figure at how he wants them to look. I would think the finish project is exactly how he wanted it when done. I wonder if it's the same guy you put on your videos about a year or more ago.
I enjoy his videos, he has such detail on his creatures.
magical
LOVE IT, WANT MORE OF IT.
absolutely beautiful work. Loved it. Makes me want to drag out my cameras again at 91 and start all over again. Thanks so much for sharing.
I follow this guy on Instagram and he is so VERY talented!!!
so enjoyed this. !!!!!
Oh he is so clever and entertaining. I thoroughly enjoyed this. It is adorable. Thank you, Mel.
Absolutely wonderful!
My daughter got me one of his photo prints for my birthday this year. I love becorns!
I have no words except for “wonderment and joy”
Watching this was some pure fun! What a creative guy he is. But he seems a bit out of touch with reality, talking about his Becorns as if they were human with human emotions. Their facial expressions and some of the interaction of squirrels and birds with them really did make them seem alive. Although I love artistic creations...they are NOT reality. I am going to see if he has other You Tube postings or a website. The guy ie really cool. Thanks for finding this, Mel.
That's really very moving
BRILLIANT!
That's one of the coolest stories I've ever seen! What a talented guy. I'm hoping he's got a page out there somewhere that we can enjoy his artistry.
