Description

After leaving his job as a toy designer for Lego, David M. Bird wondered how he would feed his passion for developing interesting characters and storylines until he found his inspiration in a pile of sticks. Becorns are woodland creatures crafted from acorns, pine cones, and other natural materials, then photographed in nature with birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and other wildlife.

  • Sharyn M. Added Wow, Wow, Wow!!! What imagination this fellow has to figure at how he wants them to look. I would think the finish project is exactly how he wanted it when done. I wonder if it's the same guy you put on your videos about a year or more ago.

  • Lynda Added I have no words except for “wonderment and joy”
  • Andrea Added Watching this was some pure fun! What a creative guy he is. But he seems a bit out of touch with reality, talking about his Becorns as if they were human with human emotions. Their facial expressions and some of the interaction of squirrels and birds with them really did make them seem alive. Although I love artistic creations...they are NOT reality. I am going to see if he has other You Tube postings or a website. The guy ie really cool. Thanks for finding this, Mel.
  • Patricia Yager Delagrange Added That's really very moving
  • Sher Added BRILLIANT! :)
  • Kat Ladd Added That's one of the coolest stories I've ever seen! What a talented guy. I'm hoping he's got a page out there somewhere that we can enjoy his artistry.
