Video Script::

on today's show McLaren celebrates a win at the e63 gets a new look and somebody found a goat in a barn plus if we look at some oddball cars i'm dana simone and this is haggerty's daily driver buckle up [Music] first up McLaren has released images of a new special edition called the 720s lon the car will commemorate MacLaren's a 1995 victory at the famous 24-hour race and not only did the number 59 McLaren f1 GTR win three other f1 GTRs finished in the top five this 720 s pays homage by rocking five-spoke LM wheels and a carbon roof scoop it also gets gold brake calipers some carbon fenders and unique interior touches the llama has the same 710 horsepower engine as the normal 720 s but hey if it ain't broke don't fix it it's offered in two colours and only 50 will be made price only 285,000 moving on it may not be as rare as the McLaren but a fast five seater is a special thing and it's why we're excited Mercedes just unveiled this 2021 East 63 AMG the new card has wider fender flares a new front bumper and a more aggressive hood and outback slimmer taillights a redesigned rear bumper and a more aerodynamic diffuser the MB UX infotainment system also gets some fancy new functions but let's get to the important part both the sedan and wagon come with a 563 horsepower turbo v8 unless you opt for the 603 horsepower s model which I mean I totally would sedan or wagon let us know what you like in the comments and finally finding a new Mercedes on the road is cool but finding a 66 Pontiac GTO in a barn is a lot cooler according to Hot Rod Tony Salerno was car hunting on Facebook Marketplace when he saw an ad for this dusty GTO at a price that was just too good to be true 25 people called the owner before Tony but he was the first to show up in person and had a stray body and a factory hearse for speed shifter Tony brought the car home and now it's running just fine so let this be a lesson to the young folks out there one it is totally fine to spend five hours a day on Craigslist and Facebook marketplace to never sleep on a great car coming up we're looking at some of the strangest cars ever made but first [Music] this is a brand-new 1968 Pontiac GTO it's been beautifully restored from bumper to bumper this is a brand-new 1968 Pontiac GTO it has a new bumper it's the most revolutionary new bumper since since bumpers there are interesting project cars and then there are strange contraptions that exist in the far corners of the automotive landscape our very own Brad Phillips did a livestream with collector and Haggerty community member Jerome rinin to discuss ten of their favorite oddball machines so here's a few of their choices this is a 1918 American LaFrance speedster it might look like your typical mail box shaped race car but this started life as an old fire engine American LaFrance built fire trucks from 1873 until 2014 under the hood is a nine point five liter four-cylinder engine that makes 90 horsepower and are you ready eight hundred pound feet of torque I mean that's nearly twice what a 2020 Ram 1500 has tractor pull anyone speaking of truck conversions meets the deckle liner this was built by Randy Grubb and looks right out of Steve Zissou scratch it's part cab over truck part RV frame with a metal skeleton built by Randy himself but the coolest feature I mean you can just drive it from the roof talk about visibility last but definitely not least is the Dumbarton surface orbiter famous hot rodder rick darton dreamed of driving around the world across land and sea so he bought a 1950s milk tanker and grabbed a cutting wheel it has one steering system for land one for water a full kitchen and a turbo diesel engine the orbiter fell far short of its goal we have to admire the ambition for the full list of oddballs click the link below and let us know in the comments what your favorite weird car is that's it for me this week on haggerty's daily driver tune in next week for more of the top stories keep driving you
