Video Description:

“Morning Mood” by Norwegian composer, Edvard Grieg, is one of our favorite classical pieces. As classically trained harpists with degrees in Harp Performance from a Conservatory of Music, we have spent a LOT of time playing classical music. We have a passion for composing our own music, as well as arranging rock and metal music, so that is what we most often play and post. However, we decided to return to our roots and create HARP REFLECTIONS, an album of Classical, Celtic, Sacred, and Original music! For that album, we arranged several of our favorite classical pieces. Originally composed for an entire orchestra, Morning Mood was a unique challenge to arrange for only 2 harps, and our arrangement is deceptively challenging. To us, this 1875 composition perfectly paints a picture of a glorious sunrise. We found a magical meadow surrounded by singing birds, azure waters, spring blooms, and the shade of green that only Spring brings. We recorded this arrangement on our electro-acoustic Concert Grand harps and filmed the video with our acoustic concert grand harps. We hope that this newest offering will whisk you away to a place of complete peace – daydreaming in a green meadow under a perfect Spring sunrise.
