Missing You by Old Old Joe | Porch Blues of Love and Loss. Old Old Joe is back on the porch with a song about absence, memory, and the kind of missing that settles in quiet and stays awhile.
Missing You is a front-porch blues reflection about the people we carry after they’re gone, the mornings that used to mean something different, and the way a guitar can still say what words can’t. It’s simple. It’s worn-in. And it’s honest.
This version leans into the lonely porch side of the song, but there may be another trail ahead for it too. Down the road, I may be looking for a new voice from the Porch to help bring a western version of this one to life.
If you’ve ever sat still long enough for the past to come walking back in, this one may speak your language.
Pull up a chair. The porch light stays on.

Some songs don’t arrive loud. They just sit down beside you.
Missing You is one of those songs. It’s for the people who still show up in your mind when the morning gets quiet and the world slows down enough to feel what’s missing.
And there may be more to this one yet. I’m thinking about doing a western version later on, maybe with a new voice from the Porch. So if that sounds like your kind of trail, stay close.
Glad you’re here.
