I’ve seen hundreds of baby goats born over the last 15 years and it is complete magic every time…And every bit as nerve racking as it was the very first time! There is no greater feeling than having all the kids out safe, watching the mom be attentive and loving and then seeing each baby get its legs going and getting up to nurse.
We are finishing up breeding and looking forward to April when the first 2026 kids will arrive!
These are some video clips from mamas in recent years as they meet their brand new kids in the first seconds and hours of life. So much healing gentle spirit in the moments. Mama goats only make this special noise when they are talking to to their babies for the first time, it’s kind of a sweet murmur!
