I know it’s been a long time coming for me to cover a song by the late-great Nanci Griffith… I’ve gotten so many comments over the last couple of years from people who say I remind them of her. Albeit very flattering, I didn’t really see the comparison — maybe our similar taste in music or the dark hair? It wasn’t until a few of you explained in your comments that the similarity wasn’t so much about sound, but about the emotion — how we make the song feel.
