All the videos on my website are embedded from Youtube. From what little information I can find Youtube is testing turning off videos for certain users that are not logged into a Youtube account or using a VPN to view videos. If you have a Youtube account, please try logging in and see if you can then view the videos on https://mvotd.com. If you're using a VPN, try turning it off to view the videos. There are a few other work arounds but they are pretty confusing to use. If you have the skills you might try searching Google for "Youtube Sign in to confirm you're not a bot" for a fix. I didn't see any that looked easy. Our best hope is that Youtube completes their test and realizes this is a big mistake. Until then, please check in daily to see if you still getting the error message. Sorry it took so long to figure out what was going on with this. Mel

Description

In this amusing segment from a classic game show, the host engages in a lively conversation with a contestant named Albert Hall. With quick wit and humor, Albert shares anecdotes about his life journey, from his Kansas origins to his aspirations in Hollywood. The playful banter between Albert and the host creates a memorable and entertaining experience for the audience.

Meet Albert Hall

Albert Hall, originally from Kansas, steps onto the stage with a sense of humor and charm. The host jokingly accuses Albert of being angry about his Kansas roots, leading to a playful exchange about his background. Quote from Host: "Mr. Hall, where are you from originally? From Kansas, born in Kansas. You don't have to get angry about it." Albert recounts leaving Kansas at the age of ten, eventually finding his way to Nebraska, where he attended school and worked as a printer's devil for the Nebraska State Journal. Quote from Albert: "I left when I was 10 years old... I got a job on the Nebraska State Journal as a printer's devil."

Life and Work in Seattle

Albert shares his journey from Nebraska to Seattle, where he worked in the composing room of the Seattle Times. His experience in Seattle becomes a point of humor as the host jokes about the challenges of working on a newspaper. Quote from Host: "What sort of work have you been doing lately? Well, I came to Seattle and got a job on the Seattle Times in the composing room." Despite the challenges, Albert maintains his cheerful demeanor, sharing his story with the audience.

A New Chapter in Hollywood

Facing tough times in the mountains, Albert decided to try his luck in Hollywood, curious about how people make money in the entertainment capital. Quote from Albert: "Things got tough up in the mountains, no money. I came to Hollywood to find out how they make money." Albert humorously suggests that a significant portion of people in Hollywood might be on relief or relying on banks and loan companies, a notion that amuses the audience and the host. Quote from Albert: "I come to the conclusion that 50% of them there are on relief, and the other 40% are going around to these banks and loan companies."

Aspirations and Observations

The host asks Albert about his aspirations in Hollywood, leading to a light-hearted discussion about the seemingly easy work of hosting a game show. Albert playfully notes that the host's job looks "kind of soft," adding to the humor of the exchange. Quote from Albert: "Well, what you're doing there looks kind of soft." The segment concludes with laughter, leaving the audience entertained by Albert's wit and the engaging dialogue between him and the host. Conclusion: "I guess The Jig Is Up." Albert Hall's appearance on the game show is a delightful blend of humor and storytelling, showcasing his personality and wit. His candid reflections on life and aspirations provide a charming glimpse into the experiences of an ordinary man with dreams of making it big in Hollywood.
