my first guest is a young man that you will probably recognize you seen him on television and show them right now roll the tape [Music] [Applause] like sheets of this very rose just look at the monitor my cheeks seem to be quite rosy anyway speaking of a manual was announced today that he's going to be starring in a new television series on another network this fall called the Webster's would you welcome Emmanuel Lewis [Applause] [Music] Oh manual [Applause] how are you we've never met before until right this moment yeah it's a pleasure to meet you yeah give me 200 Thank You Manuel yeah you were you surprised me I for some reason I thought you were gonna be taller me ciao [Applause] if you do you get tired of people saying that your your short yeah no you might tell us how old you are 12 you're 12 you've done it how many commercials have you done altogether not much not sure you quit counting huh are you are you putting your money away and a bank account yeah what do you think you'll do with all your money someday would you like to do what would you like to buy if you could buy anything in the world not sure yet huh how'd you save me just put it away safely that's a good idea yeah didn't you do a commercial with the Bill Cosby for a jell-o pudding wasn't it yes yeah now what other commercials have you done I've done Campbell Soup life cereal huh Maxwell House coffee Elmas glue French's mustard apple juice yeah now do you do you use all those products most of I won't ask you which ones you you don't I don't suppose you drink too much coffee do you know yeah okay what grade you in the school six your sixth grade yeah what's your favorite subject well I like science good for you good for you reading me yeah what are you studying in science right now that's interesting well how do connect batteries dry self dry cells and batteries yes yeah you like math - yeah yeah well they teach math I think a little bit differently now don't they then at least when I was a kid their different system and you know how they how they teach it now is a decimal system or something yeah how does that work in explain what would be kind of a problem you would have I have too much problems yeah [Applause] I somebody somebody told me you made a trip to Japan yes would you go to Japan for well I've done a commercial for Japanese television yes did you like Japan oh yes yeah what what did you what did you find most interesting about Japan well nothing well short like me okay hedge head you read anything about Japan in school do you know anything about it before you went there well I know that they speak Japanese the Japanese and did you go to Tokyo yeah that's a big city isn't it yeah yeah how long were you in Japan that depend on what time I went there well you've been there more than once yeah you have yeah I've never been to Japan myself and you've been there more than more than once yes yeah where else have you traveled south to LA we've Los Angeles we have a little piece of is this the film you a commercial you made in Japan I guess we're gonna show right what were you selling there baby store noodles yes okay all right here's a manuals commercial for Japan [Music] that could be okay did you uh did you learn to speak any Japanese at all yes you did what can you what can you say in Japanese can you say something in Japanese you yes baby stuff all I learned from children was konichiwa I think that means how are you or a good morning or something like that yes sayonara of course that means I guess goodbye yeah what you seem to be missing a fair amount of teeth there help on the up on the top row yes yeah just naturally come out or a little help from mom now you don't mean by saying that your mom yes I do mom will certainly be happy to hear that tonight on I remember I was a kid I'd take the you put him under your pillow for the tooth fairy did you do that yeah and what was there in the morning she a sheet yeah well I know well usually there'd be uh maybe a dime or something like that didn't it tooth fairy leave anything at all no that's probably cuz you've got so many commercials gone you didn't need it anyway yeah you have a girlfriend miss prentace might have girls that are friends that is well put very diplomatic you have girls girls who are friends right the girls can be very nice friends can't they yes did you uh you go to the movies together no you don't just talking stuff like that well dance maybe a little bit no no dance at night no hugging her no no kissing yeah Mina tell me only from mom yourself I will give you trouble yeah I think your kiss would be in order when you get home yeah you do you like to go to amusement parks stuff like that yes yeah what do you like to ride on well my uncle put me in a cup like in Disneyland oh yeah those are yes cups are spin around yes and I thought I have some Akaka you are somewhat Kaka you did a little caca in the cup [Applause] because Evelyn you didn't do that you did that Walt Disney would be spinning in his grave like a lady yeah well you're nice you're a nice young man Emanuel that's a nice name that's you know too many people named Immanuel do you like them my name I'm Manuel [Laughter] what are your favorite television shows well I like give me a break give me a break I like The Love Boat love those yeah yes I like penne ala fantasy huh so close for comfort too close for comfort you ever watch this show you have six teeth missing would you like to try Priscilla you watch once in a while come on now don't you that's right it's pretty late isn't it well the man yo I'm glad you could be with us tonight it's nice to meet you I enjoy watching you on television and I hope you enjoyed being with us tonight oh thank you and get my best to your mom oh yeah [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] I thought it was a Mattel toy walk he doesn't mind that he gets kidded all the time about that but he is really small listening Doro he is once in a blue moon he's gonna have to square things at home with low in the teeth we'll be back david steinberg is here and mary frances they wear [Applause]
