Video Description:

From the movie: BROADWAY MELODY OF 1936 Here Eleanor Powell performs with Buddy Ebsen and his sister Vilma. Buddy Ebsen is best remembered today as Jed Clampett in the hugely popular 1960's TV show "The Beverly Hillbillies". He was however also one of the best comedic dancers of the 1930's. He and his sister Vilma had a popular vaudeville and super club act before coming to Hollywood for this movie. Sadly Vilma's entire Hollywood career was this film supposedly because there was some kind of a contract problem but I suspect it was really because Vilma looked a little too much like Buddy and that wasn't a good thing for a girl. And that's too bad because she had a nice screen personality and she was a good dancer.
